I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
It’s that time of the year again when the best reaction to the whole “Valentine’s Day” hoopla I can think of is a huge SCREAM!!!
As tradition (my tradition) goes — whether I have a special someone or not — I always celebrate lover’s day by doing a little horror film marathon of 3-5 hand-picked titles that will (or not) chill me to the bones.
I am very much aware that it’s a weird tradition, but when I started it 10 years ago, I just have to do it every year or I will feel totally incomplete. It’s Valentine’s Day today and somehow, this song has been playing inside my head long before I started making this post.
Yes, despite me being a rocker at heart, there’s a piece of me that liked groovin’ with a bit of pop. Aannnndddd . . . Dee-Lite‘s been on my playlist for years — my go-to jam when I just want to let loose.
As routine goes, I always tune in to one of my favorite radio shows in the morning (every workweek) while I enjoy a mug of coffee or tea before starting work.
So, in a way, this post is related to the topics under discussion for a couple of days about a week or so ago.
The topics were — shall I say — things that have been debated and argued over since time immemorial. It’s engaging; there’s no doubt about that. But for some reason, I cannot help myself from rolling my eyes and mutter, “Here we go again.” This comment is in no way directed at the DJs — they are fantastic. It’s directed to most of the stoopid comments that are quite annoying.
What is it about?
So apropos, isn’t it? Considering that Valentine’s Day is just a stone’s throw away.
But anyway, the topics might be too vague at some point and they could do with some explaining for the dim-witted folks — be more specific — because there are just too many factors to consider when the topic of beauty and attraction comes to mind.
